Queens bully named after the iconic Queens Bvld, is a gastropub located in the heart of Forest Hills. By showcasing the diverse and bold flavors of Queens, Queens Bully has made a mark as Queens’ favorite gastropub since opening in July 2017. The Bully team has won many accolades to win the hearts of many New York foodies and beverage enthusiasts.
Rohan Aggarwal & Suraj Patel are the co-owners and founders of Queens Bully restaurant. Rohan started off in the hospitality trade as a young child. Working in restaurants since the age of six, there was a profound passion for hospitality since the early days. After graduating with a degree in hospitality management, Rohan proceeded to do pursue a culinary degree. After working and managing the Michelin starred Dévi restaurant in Union Square, Rohan ventured off to open Queens Bully with old time friend, Suraj Patel.
Suraj built a passion over the years for the hospitality trade. Started off working in his family’s hotel business and today owns and operates multiple hotels in New York City. Suraj always wanted to build an establishment that showcased Queens culture. In 2017, he ventured off to open Queens Bully alongside Rohan Aggarwal. The goal for these two friends was to build a brand that embraces diversity and the showcases the rich culture of Queens.
Our Executive Chef Melvin “Boots” Johnson. Chef boots has been cooking since the early age of six years old. Born and raised in Compton, LA, Chef “Boots” has the LA swag with southern soul. Southern food has been the epitome of Chef “Boots” culinary ambitions. With previous stunts at restaurants such as Yardbird in Las Vegas he pursued to join the Bully team in 2017.
Within the first six months he was featured on Food Network’s “BBQ Chopped” series, where he proceeded to enter the Final BBQ Championship round. Chef “Boots” bought the win back to Queens and was named Food Network’s BBQ Chopped Champion in 2018. You could find Chef “Boots” jamming to hip hop and cooking some of the best bbq & souther fare in Queens, New York.
